"Camels on the Move" 2001

I was watching a program on television about camel races in Las Vegas and thought, “I’d love to see camels just walking down the streets of San Francisco.” I wondered how I could make this happen and then, months later, remembered the circus comes to town once a year. I didn’t know if there would be camels; I didn’t know what I would find. It took three years to get this image. Now, after fifty-five years, the circus no longer moves the big animals through the street. - srj
